Process Levels: An Introduction

End-to-end Value Streams provide a customer-centric view of process. Equally important, however, is understanding the full “inventory” of processes in an organization. Think of it as “Lego” bricks of process. Another way to think of it is that the customer-focused value stream is the “horizontal” representation of activities, with an emphasis on flow and time whereas there is a “vertical” and hierarchical inventory of process blocks. In this short video I offer a perspective on the hierarchical levels of process in organizations ranging from Process Architecture at the top-level, down through to the Process Task level.
