Mind the Gap

gapminder

Gapminder is an interesting endeavor (http://www.gapminder.org/). Xraydelta likes Gapminder because it seeks to raise the quality of public debate by providing illuminating facts in a way that captivates the imagination and makes connections using visualizations that are difficult to make with static rows and columns of data.

The Gapminder approach to using statistics to enlighten is perhaps best known through the impressive 200 Countries, 200 Years, 4 Minutes video.
