Visual Management: The Better Way?

This October the TTC (The Toronto Transit Commission) issued a report titled “New Wayfinding Standards” that proposed a pilot to test new ideas about signage for the transit system. As process improvement practitioners know, visual signals and information can help or hinder the effectiveness of people working in a process, such as the process of finding your way from point A to point B through a transit system.

Below are some slides from the TTC report; I’ll leave it to each reader to decide whether they consider the changes effective or ineffective.
