What business generates in the U.S. alone about $80 billion in annual revenues with about 3 million really small businesses? Answer: the hair styling business.
I read about a company called StyleSeat (https://www.styleseat.com/) whose app helps customers search for a professional stylist using criteria such as location, availability, skillset etc.
The launched in May 2011; within 18 months they signed 75,000 stylists in 10,000 U.S. cities and processed more than $100 million in bookings of which StyleSeat takes a 30% commission. That’s a good hair day.
