This blog has written about issues of income inequality, the need to consider how a post-employment society might work, and the advance of automation and artificial intelligence.
The film is a good summary of the forces at work in today’s society. The theses of in film would, only a few years ago, seem like a fringe-group conspiracy theory. Today it looks like a matter-of-fact recitation of the issues, real and perceived, that appear to have propelled events such as Brexit and the U.S. Presidential election.
