Leadership and Metrics: Going to the Gemba!

Before getting into things like metrics dashboards and other derivative measures of an organization, I’d like to make the case for leaders to “go to the Gemba,” to go to the Frontline where the actual process and work occurs in order to directly observe what is going on rather than rely on spreadsheets and PowerPoint decks.
