As an admirer of the films of Stanley Kubrick, Taschen’s release of their mass-market version of the bookStanley Kubrick’s Napoleon: The Greatest Movie Never Made, is great news because their limited edition version was quite expensive ($1500) and also sold out. Even if Kubrick’s films are not one’s cup of tea, it is hard not to admire the level of passion and commitment he brought to his projects as exemplified by the enormous level of painstaking research he marshalled for a film that, ultimately, was never made.
