CBC Radio’s As It Happens has an interesting piece on the use of live chickens, and their scent, to ward off a species of malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
In the interview the researcher says that nobody had ever thought about what animals the mosquitoes weren’t biting and why.
An interesting example of reverse creative thinking.
